COVID-19 ALERT
On November 2, 2020, a new five-level system will be implemented, in which local authorities will assign restrictions based on a local area's COVID-19 protection level. For more information, visit the government of Scotland's COVID-19 webpage. The UK government also announced a leisure travel ban in England starting on November 5 until December 2, 2020, consisting of a second nationwide lockdown that bans domestic and international leisure travel. For more information, visit the UK government's COVID-19 webpage. People from more than one household (or extended household) must not stay in a self-catered accommodation together while the current restrictions on indoor private gatherings are in place. The Scottish government requires that face coverings are worn in certain indoor areas. Limited exemptions apply. Travelers arriving in Scotland from outside the United Kingdom are required to self-isolate for 14 days. A list of exempt countries and territories is available on the Scottish government website.
